Are these PIXHOST images gonna be WEBP from now on? I was thinking maybe it’s just temporary but seems like that’s the new normal now? VERY POOR quality of images with this WEBP format. Not ideal!
Turned on the “web optimized” feature there. You really see such a difference?
Tbh I don’t see any problem with “VERY POOR” quality of images. I mean, it’s not high-res photos, parts of photosets, it’s not even full-res screens from video.
It’s just screen caps where each frame is VERY small. What people want to see on those except very basic things? Male performers since their names are not listed, positions and their order…
Of course they are useful, but quality is still enough for us too see what is possible to see. Not a problem at all.
Maybe complainers are on phones; on desktop version of pixhost we now must click on photo to see its whole resolution. Back then we didn’t have to. probably have to do same on mobile version of pixhost.
Quality of pictures is worse now, yes, but not because of webp itself (this format is not worse than jpg). Still, not a big deal. I highly doubt people are looking at screen caps for more than 10 seconds.
For the past two or three days, that host has been giving me a bit of trouble, NOT actual problems, just annoyances I didn’t have before.
